Genetic Map of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii

We are currently working on SNP discovery for Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Of the first 72 "major" scaffolds, we have selected 31 for targeted resequencing. By aligning our resequencing reads to the canonical sequence, we will obtain a group of base substitutions using Crossmatch. From that group we will use factors such as read quality and primer design to select SNPs to genotype for genetic mapping.
