SNP Characterization Project

In the cover article of Genomics (2005 Aug; volume 86, number 2) we describe a high-density SNP map constructed from the characterization of over 50,000 SNPs in multiple human populations.

Title: High-density single-nucleotide polymorphism maps of the human genome

Supplementary Data

Figure A:   Comparison of Allele Frequencies
Single base extension genotyping (Orchid) compared with sequencing of pooled DNAs (WU).

Table A:   Allele Frequency Data
View or download files with SNP frequency data for African-American, European-American, Asian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean populations.

Table B:   Polymorphic SNPs
For each population, SNPs that were at least 10% polymorphic (in chromosomal order).

Table C:   Common Link SNPs
These SNPs were at least 10% polymorphic in African-American, European-American, and Asian populations.

Table D:   Admixture SNPs
These SNPs, whose frequency varied by at least 60% between two populations, are recommended for studies using mixed populations.

Pooled Sequencing Assays
Download the primer sets were used to assay SNPs at the WU center.
